Jenny Stow is an illustrator and writer of  children’s books. She is also a landscape artist.
					  
					  Jenny  was born  in Manchester and studied at Manchester College of Art and Design and at  Chelsea School of Art. She also trained as a teacher.
					  
					  Jenny began  illustrating and writing children’s books after living with her family in  Botswana and the Caribbean. Her books reflect the dramatic forms and intense  colour of these countries.
					  
					  Her first  book – The House that Jack Built –  is set in the Caribbean and was shortlisted for The State of Maryland’s Black-Eyed Susan Picture Book Award.					  She has also written and illustrated two books set in Africa – Growing Pains  and Following the Sun.
				      
      Jenny divides her  time between London and her house in the village of Castaño del Robledo in Andalucia. Whilst living in Spain she has  developed her landscape painting, finding inspiration in the beautiful forests  and mountains of the Sierra de Aracena y Picos de Aroche.
